Callie is in Alabama at Space Camp with the 6th graders from school. She left Friday morning and will return Sunday night. Sean has been looking forward to trying out the scooter he got for Christmas. He said at first that he didn't need his pads because he wasn't going to fall because he has watched Callie ride hers and knows how. He was a little disappointed that it didn't go faster but we explained that he has to practice to make it go faster. Sean is reading a little bit. I got some Bob books from the library and he enjoys reading them to us. He has a good grasp of phonics and naturally tries to sound out the words he doesn't recognize.
Sierra enjoyed some basketball. She said "Boing, Boing" as she dribbled.

Two days later and Sean's eye is starting to heal. At this rate we might not even be able to see it in a month or so. :) Notice the green eyes?

Black eye. Exactly one week after receiving a bump from a baseball bat, Sean had an accident with the tv. He and Sierra were playing on the loveseat and both fell off the side together and Sean connected with the tv. Both were crying but as soon as Sierra saw Sean's eye transforming she forgot about crying and just watched him.
This pic was taken on Sunday, a few hours after his accident with the television. We think the red mark on his forehead happened at the same time. You can still see the bruise from the baseball bat.
This pic was taken the next day. As painful as it looks, he says it doesn't hurt.

More outside fun.

Sierra thinks feet are funny.

Now that Sierra can drive, there is going to be more fighting over the jeep.

Sierra and Sean enjoying some juice on a very warm day. I've been asked twice in the past month if they are twins. We get lots of comments about how much they look alike. We also get comments about how much Sierra looks like Callie.

After taking a sabbatical for a couple of years, Sean has rediscovered his love for playing basketball.

Fun at the park.

Sierra and I went to the park one nice day while Callie and Sean were at school. As we were leaving, Sierra said "It was so much fun!".

We enjoyed a great weekend of spring weather. The kids enjoyed being outside. Of course, with outside play comes certain dangers, such as what happens when you walk into a baseball bat. Fortunately, it was a plastic bat that Callie was swinging. She had told Sean to stay out of the way but he didn't listen too well. It is the worst goose egg that I've ever seen.

Sean and Sierra are great buddies. A few days ago, they were "horsing" around together. Tonight, Sean wanted to sit by Sierra while she took her breathing treatment as if to provide moral support. She has once again started to accept the treatments instead of fighting and screaming with us holding her down. She likes to watch a video to help pass the time.

Here Sean is exhibiting "Foot Phonics". As he played with the giant alphabet puzzle, he kept repeating "F is for foot" while holding the F between his toes.
Handmade Valentines. Sean proudly displays the Valentines he made (with a little help from mom) for his preschool.

ICE STORM
We appear to have damage to our pine trees that block our view to the interstate
It is interesting that something as destructive as ice can be so beautiful on the trees.

Sierra got some new glasses yesterday. She is adjusting much better than we expected. We think they look cute on her. Sean is a little jealous and wants to know when he will get glasses.

First Snow! Finally!
The kids have been confused about how it could be winter without any snow. We were glad everyone was healthy and not in school today so they could enjoy playing in the snow for a while. Here are some pictures of the fun.
