I decided to have a photo shoot with Sean since Sierra's turned out so well. Here are a few of him. His were more difficult.since he tends to have a fake smile but I figured out a way to make him laugh and then eventually to smile more naturally.

Since Sierra likes going to a portrait studio about as much as she likes getting shots (Example: 45 minutes at Walmart for two pictures and she was not smiling in either one), I took some photos of her outside this week. Here are a few.

Happy Birthday to Sean! 4 Years Old!

Sean and Sierra enjoyed some summer weather in October yesterday on their bikes. Sierra was really studying the pedals trying to figure them out.

Since Sierra recently turned two, I thought would give a little update about her.

Sierra is a busy girl trying to keep up with Callie and Sean. She is quickly becoming independent. No more putting her in the carseat in the van. As soon as the door opens she immediately starts chanting "Climb! Climb!" and will have a fit if you try to put her into the van. She wants to climb into the van and then up into her seat.

She loves to sing while riding in the van and if the radio is on, she will request "music". She loves the kids song CDs that we have. One of her favorites is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She also likes to sing the "ABC song" too. But she pretty much knows all the songs and will sing along.

She has recently started attending the 2-year old class at Bible Study Fellowship and is enjoying it. She loves Elmo and knows all of the main Sesame Street characters by name. She also enjoys playing on the computer.

Sierra can count to 13, sometimes 14. She speaks in complete sentences and most of those begin with "I want..." or "I do..". She is very polite most of the time. Such as "I do it please!". She loves to pretend play taking turns but isn't always as interested in doing so when it's something she doesn't want to share. She is shy around strangers though and will begin whispering when around others.

She loves to dress up in play clothes and enjoys new clothes. She loves to try on new clothes. She will ask me to put her hair in a pony tail or pig tails and waits patiently while I do that. As they say, she is "all girl".

Sierra got a Little People train set from Ma and Pa for her birthday.

Here is Sierra all dressed up in her new clothes. Thanks to Aunt Becky and Uncle Eric for the dress and the shoes.

Sierra turned 2 years old today. She celebrated with the five of us by opening some gifts and dining out. As you can see, she loves baby dolls.
In a couple of weeks we'll be having a cookout with friends and family who can make it to celebrate her birthday as well as mine since I will be officially over the hill.

Sean started preschool this week. He loves it. His favorite thing to do inside is the nesting dolls/cups. His favorite thing to do outside is the great big sandbox. The preschool uses Montessori principles so he will be doing a lot of hands on learning. This is the same preschool that Callie attended in '98/'99.

Sierra and Sean enjoyed the summer with Callie home. They played a lot of dress up. Sierra was walking around the other day with Sean's clothes on her shoulders and head and asked me to help her with them. So here is her dress up costume.

Sierra attempted once to get the blue stick from Sean but he won the tug of war leaving her angry and slapping her knees.

She kept her eye on that stick for some time. She waited patiently for any opportunity to get the stick.

Sierra finally got the break she'd been looking for. Sean put the stick down and walked away. She picked it up while he wasn't looking and made a mad dash across the yard with the prize.

6th Grade!

Callie was very excited to start 6th grade today. We went to school and met her teacher last night and saw her room.

I went in Sierra's room to get her out of her crib this morning and I couldn't find her anywhere. Sean was missing too!

I like this picture of Callie and Sierra. They were playing dress up. I cannot post the picture I took of Sean or else it might be used to blackmail him when he gets older. :)
