Callie just finished studying the Pacific Islands as part of her study of the Eastern Hemisphere this year. We had a luau to wrap it up. Here the kids are playing on the "beach".

Sierra took gymnastics once a week for 5 weeks. Her favorite part was jumping on the trampoline and jumping into the pit of foam blocks. I found her leotard new with tags for $1.00.

Sean took a tennis class this summer. He loved it and says that tennis is his favorite sport. Like father like son. Jeff was wishing he could play too. He might try some left-handed play or he'll just have to wait until next summer after his shoulder has healed.

Our 4-H Fair has kept us busy this past week. Callie's club participated in the kick-off parade to celebrate the 50th year of the fair. She worked with her club in the community building one evening to help watch the exhibits including her scrapbook and creative writing entries which she received blue ribbons on. Yesterday, her club worked at the Smoke Free booth for Smoke Free day. They gave out balloons, bubbles and collected signatures.

Meet Dr. Chris who is graduating IU Med School tomorrow and will do a 3-year residency in ER medicine beginning in July. He is our (Jeff's) nephew. Notice any family resemblance? Pretty scary, isn't it?

It was a bit hard to keep up with her with the camera, but she has yellow wings. Of course, the one show that I videoed from was her worst one she says but I still thought she did well.

Callie has yellow wings and is on the opposite side of the circle. She is the one in the center who starts her spin first.

Here are some pics of Callie in her ice show costumer. The number she was in was very pretty. They skated in the dark for parts of it with the black lights on which made the wings and stripes on their costumes glow. There were yellow and green, pink and orange flourescent colors so it was pretty.

All dressed up with somewhere to go. Sean had a Grandparent's Tea with his preschool today. The children sang songs for the grandparents and they visited with cookies and punch. Sean was very happy to have Ma and Pa attend the Tea with him. I took some more pics of Sean while he looked so handsome. He enjoys dressing up. Enjoy!

EGG HUNT?

Jeff's employer had an egg hunt for the kids. They didn't have to hunt far to find lots of eggs stuffed with candy, tattoos and little chicks. One of Sean's had a quarter in it. The pictures don't show just how cold it really was that day. The wind was freezing. The kids were able to pet some bunnies and baby goats too.

Brotherly love. Sierra has been fighting a cold or allergies for a few days and needed a breathing treatment this evening. The nebulizer has been good for us... helps keep us out of the doctor's office.
