Brookfield Zoo - We were quite tired at the end of an afternoon at the zoo. Sean would lie down flat on his back on the paved paths, but perked up for this picture on the lion's back.

Happy Birthday today to mom and Jeff. Mom turned 60! She doesn't look a day older than 55, does she? Jeff gets to stay in his forties for a couple (or three) more years.

Jeff made a new rope swing for the kids. Sean was having a great time. Sierra thinks she must do everything Sean does. You can see her almost patiently waiting for her turn. She loved it. Callie was a little under the weather from a week at camp and did not spend much time on the swing.

Sean loves doing activities such as this maze. Sierra always likes to be close by.

Here is Callie's spring school pictures. We did not buy the fall ones since they make us pay before we see. In the spring, we get to see them first.

Sierra likes pigtails enough to wait patiently while I put them in. I think they look really cute but her hair does need to grow a little more.

Sierra is starting to understand what the camera is about. Look at her cheesy grin in this picture. She loves her baby doll and is starting to play more with dolls lately.

This week was Vacation Bible School. All of us adults and the kids were pretty worn out by the end of it. Sean was allowed to attend with the 4 & 5 year olds where I was helping. Sierra was over being the only one in the nursery this week so she hung out with us the last hour.

Sean had his first ice skating lesson this week. When I asked him what he learned, he said "I didn't learn any spins." He must have his goals set high. :-)

Sean is practicing for the Nextel Cup in case Tony needs another backup driver.

Sierra loves to read. Here she is reading a book about ducks. She turns each page and says "Quack quack quack quack!".

Callie took a field trip recently to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and to the Spaghetti Factory for lunch. Here she is on the bus and with her 5th grade teacher.

We enjoyed a beautiful day. Here are some pics of the kids outside. They had a great day.
Callie was working on her acrobatics. Sierra climbed on everything she could find, including the riding mower. She had no problems going up the slide ladder and going down the slide by herself. Sean was working on his "karate" moves.

This weekend is the ice show. Callie is really enjoying skating this year. This is her 3rd year to participate in the show. She did not skate last year. Here is a picture of rehearsal on Wednesday. She is about 3rd from the left in the short-sleeved blue striped shirt and blue jeans. They had dress rehearsal last night and the first performance was tonight. Her group did better than I had seen them at practice or rehearsal. They will perform twice tomorrow and once on Sunday afternoon. There are over 140 skaters in the show this year. We are very proud of her.
